Jessica Nordhaus has had a range of professional and personal experience that she brings to her work with the Partnership for Change. She cites one of her greatest learning experiences as living in a VW bus traveling through Europe and North Africa with her family when she was 9 years old. Several years later, she had an entrepreneurial start to her work life as the founder, owner and operator of Horny Toad Activewear. She then taught English and History to middle and high school students while starting a family of her own. She has been very involved as a parent and advocate for students and families in several of Burlington’s schools and currently co-chairs IAA’s Family School Partnership Team. Most recently, she served as Miro Weinberger’s campaign manager and then assisted him with the transition to City Hall. Mayor Weinberger appointed Jessica to be his representative on the Steering Committee. She lives in Burlington’s South End with her husband Michael, their 3 children and several elderly animals.
